A Dream Come True

Dianah and her four children arrived in the United States in 2019 after many years in a refugee camp in Rwanda. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), they were resettled at Joseph House by Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services in 2020.

During their time at Joseph House, the family worked tirelessly to build a better future through employment and education. In early 2025, they received the exciting news that they had been awarded a new home through Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. What was once only a dream—to own a home of their own—has now become a reality.

This August, they moved into their new home and are embracing the responsibilities and joys of homeownership. While we will miss their smiling faces at Joseph House, we couldn’t be happier for this next chapter in their journey.

A heartfelt thank you to Cleveland Habitat for Humanity for helping make this dream come true!
